Use the last 2 minutes to close the interview. Before you leave: 1. Reconfirm the problem you can solve. “From our conversation, it sounds like the biggest priority is ___.” 2. Connect yourself directly to it. “That’s something I’ve handled before through ___, and I’d be excited to bring that experience here.” 3. Ask the question most candidates avoid. “Is there anything you’ve heard today that would make you hesitate about moving me forward?” Now you have a chance to address the doubt while you’re still in the room. 4. Close with intent. “Based on everything we’ve discussed, I’m very interested in the role and confident I could contribute.” Don’t just finish the interview. Make the hiring decision easier. #interview #jobinterview #interviewtips

Narrative structure
instruction -> numbered four-step script -> closing line
AU transplant
yes
Transplant note
Fully portable — no US/CA-specific law, market or salary claims. The strongest step for Ark's reader is #3, asking the interviewer to name their hesitation, because for an internationally-trained candidate the unspoken hesitation is almost always 'no local experience' and this drags it into the room where it can be answered. Would rewrite the scripted lines into Australian interview register, which is flatter and less sales-y than the American close.
Brand fit note
Usable structure with a real mechanism — four literal scripts, not encouragement — which passes the 'is there a real mechanism' check. But it fails three others: zero numbers anywhere, no Australian specificity (a generic career coach could publish every sentence unchanged, which the doc says to cut), and the register is polite-coach rather than blunt-declarative. To ship it Ark needs a contrarian inversion on the front ('the interview is decided in the last two minutes, not the first twenty'), the local-experience objection named as the hesitation in step 3, and a cost-accounting beat. Nothing in Never ships is triggered.
