Transcript
If you're just laying in Australia, there's government waiting period nobody warns you about before you run out of savings. It's called the Newly Arrived Residential Waiting Period. For some payments, it can take up to four years, but register with Service Australia anyway as soon as you land. It starts your clock, even if you're not eligible yet. Three more things to help you out. Number one, check for unclaimed super from any past work here at ato.gov.au. Number two, check for food banks, and it's not something to be ashamed of using. Number three, take any paid work early. Hospitality, retail, delivery, while you look for the role you actually want. Save this one, and all the links are in my bio or comment, let's go, and I will DM it. Bye.

Transplant note
Already Australian and already aimed at new arrivals: Newly Arrived Residential Waiting Period, Services Australia, ato.gov.au unclaimed super are all AU-specific and correct for the audience. Nothing to change geographically. The one line that maps straight into Ark's world is "take any paid work early... while you look for the role you actually want" — that is the survival job frame verbatim. To rebuild, keep the shape (hidden clock -> register anyway -> three concrete actions) but swap the payments content for a hiring-market clock, e.g. how long the average search runs versus how long savings last.
Brand fit note
Off-business: New-arrival financial/government registration timing. Explicitly excluded: getting INTO Australia, visa/immigration pathways. This is arrival logistics, not survival-job-to-corporate transition.
