Most people try to earn more by doing more. More hours. More responsibility. More qualifications. More years waiting for the next promotion. That’s usually the slowest path. If you want to dramatically increase your income, you need to stop asking: “How do I get paid more in my current job?” And start asking: “Where would my existing skills be worth significantly more?” The same person earning $80K in one role could potentially earn $150K+ in another industry, project, location or specialised position. Not because they suddenly became twice as good. Because they moved to a market that valued what they already knew. Your job title is not your value. Your salary is not your ceiling. And your current employer does not determine what your experience is worth. Before you spend another five years climbing the same ladder… Make sure it’s leaning against the right wall.
