I’m not saying you should give up all together, but usually after they interview someone they like, they say something like “we’ll reach out soon about next steps” or “can you please send your references by the end of the day”. #interview #jobsearch #career

Transplant note
Transfers directly — reference requests and 'next steps' language read the same in Australian hiring, and reading recruiter behaviour is core Ark territory. No US-specific law, salary bands or job boards to strip. To rebuild it, add what an internationally-trained candidate should actually DO with the signal (move the pipeline forward, keep outreach volume up) rather than just diagnosing the loss, and ground it in Australian recruiter/hiring-manager process.
Brand fit note
Usable observation but fails several ship checks as written. It does not open cold — it opens on a hedge ('I'm not saying you should give up all together'), exactly the kind of softener the voice deletes on sight. There is no number, no mechanism the viewer can act on, and no Australian specificity, so a generic US career coach could publish it unchanged. It's also pure diagnosis of a loss, which risks landing as discouragement; Ark's version needs the contempt pointed at the process (companies that go silent, recruiters who won't close the loop) and a next action, plus cost accounting — how many interviews sit between a survival job and an offer.
