I can quantify any job on a resume. Even if it isn’t tied to revenue and metrics. I was challenged to do this on a podcast where I had to quantify: “answered phone calls of customer complaints.” Instead of focusing on revenue numbers that are likely impossible to calculate for this role, let’s just count. Let’s say the minimum number of calls you receive in that job is 10 a day, so that’s about 50 a week. And let’s say that you have been at the company for 6 months, so that’s roughly 1200 calls that you have done. That in itself is enough to quantify the bullet: 1200 calls over 6 months. But one thing we can also do is the strategy I created called Work Place Dominos, where you don’t just focus on the things that you directly accomplish, but also what the domino effect those actions have on the business. So let’s say we go to Google reviews of whatever establishment you’re working at and you see that there’s a 4.8 star rating, which is fabulous, so we could use that as a Workplace Domino. So the bullet could sound something like: “Responded to over 1200 customer complaints over the course of 6 months, helping the company to maintain a 4.8 star rating on Google reviews” Now the company can see the volume and value of what you’re doing. For deeper resume strategies like this, I’ll my Resume Revamp Masterclass in my bio that is currently free to view! You can quantify any job, you’ve got this!
