Some call it overthinking. I call it making Friday easier. 😂 1. Send the recap after the meeting. “We agreed on X. Y owns it. Deadline is Friday.” Because five people can leave with five different versions of what happened. 2. Ask what gets pushed when something becomes urgent. “Happy to prioritize this. Which existing deadline can move?” Make the trade-off visible before everything becomes your problem. 3. Keep a running list of wins. The result, your contribution, the feedback. You shouldn’t have to reconstruct six months of work the night before your review. 4. Flag the risk before it becomes a surprise. “This dependency could push us back a week. Here are two options.” Give people time to make a decision. 5. Ask who actually makes the final call. Before spending three meetings collecting opinions from people who can’t approve anything. A lot of looking organized at work is refusing to leave important things open to interpretation. Which one would have saved you a headache this week?
