Transcript
Stop taking work so seriously. By all means, be engaged, take pride in your work, but you need to internalize it a little less. Your coworkers don't have to like you. Remind yourself every morning, this company is not mine, and I am replaceable here. View your job as a business transaction. You are trading your time and skills for money. Zoom out at the scale of the universe. Most jobs are made up, and we are working on a floating rock. Make sure you have something, anything going on outside of work that you care about more than that inbox. And remember that unless you work in an ER or public safety, most things at work are not actual emergencies. Manufactured urgency is a control mechanism, and one mistake at work is not the end of the world. At most jobs, we're saving PDFs and files, not lives. Take pride in your work, but don't take it personally.

AU transplant
yes
Transplant note
Nothing country-specific at all — no visa law, no salary bands, no named employers. The stacked-directive shape ('remind yourself every morning...', 'view your job as a business transaction') rebuilds directly for internationally-trained professionals in AU corporate, where the added angle is that migrants often over-internalise a survival job or first corporate role because their visa and family expectations are tied to it. Only change needed: the 'ER or public safety' example still lands in AU.
Brand fit note
Off-business: Generic workplace psychology applicable anywhere. No Australian specificity, no survival-job-to-corporate transition signal, no internationally-trained angle.
