Hey, when you said this would be an opportunity for me, did you mean an opportunity for me to get paid? Okay, it's just another opportunity for me to do more stuff. More stuff for free! No, you're right. Working here is the reward because we are like a family. And I have such a good relationship with my family right now. It's good to double it.

AU transplant

Transplant note
Pure workplace-satire structure, nothing US-specific in the language — "opportunity", "we're like a family" are used identically in Australian corporate. It carries over as a format, but the audience is wrong: this speaks to someone already employed and resentful, not to a skilled migrant trying to get in the door. Rebuild would repoint the joke at the unpaid "exposure" internships and free-trial-shift offers migrants get pushed into, and add the dollar figure of the free labour.
Brand fit note
The hook move is right — a rhetorical question with an immediate blunt answer, contempt aimed at the employer category rather than a named company, no Never ships violations. But it is entirely joke, no mechanism: it names a problem and offers nothing the viewer can do, which fails the "is there a real mechanism, or just encouragement" check. Zero numbers, failing cost accounting. It is also relatability comedy of the kind any generic career-humour account posts. To ship it, keep the sarcastic frame but land it on a number (what the unpaid "opportunity" is worth in hours and dollars) and a mechanism (how to convert an unpaid ask into scoped, paid, resume-bearing work).
