I actually went from teaching to working in tech, so this is coming from experience. 1️⃣i would stop blindly spamming LinkedIn and Indeed. You’re not going to find the best roles there. I’d start by figuring out what I’m actually good at. Upload my resume, answer a few questions, and use Oboe to tell me what roles fit me best then use it to upskill in the areas I’m weakest. 2️⃣if possible, I’d become a customer first. A lot of startups are desperate for real user feedback, and being an early power user can open doors way faster than cold applying. 3️⃣ I’d use curated startup job boards (I post about them all the time but something like SHORTList where get the startup role before everyone else applies, and find the good ones you’d actually want to work at.) 4️⃣ Then I’d build a real network. Follow people at companies you want to work at, pay attention to launches and funding announcements, and reach out like a human. Tech is still a people business. Be useful, be early, be consistent. Follow for more and let me know if you want more tips like these!! #jobsearch #career #techcareers #breakintotech #techjobs
