One piece of advice I keep giving anyone looking for a job in Dubai is this: Be available offline, not just online. After my conversation with Faiz yesterday, that advice felt even more relevant. A lot of people spend months clicking “Apply” on job portals and wonder why nothing changes. Sometimes, the better approach is to build genuine connections. Reach out to founders and hiring managers on LinkedIn instead of relying only on applications. But here’s the important part… Don’t move to Dubai without a plan. Before you book your ticket, ask yourself: • Is my industry actually hiring? • What skills, certifications, or experience am I missing? • Are companies actively looking for someone with my profile? And if you do message a founder, don’t send the same copy-paste “I’m looking for a job” text that they’ve already received 500 times. Instead, show them: ✔️ What value you bring. ✔️ What problem you can solve. ✔️ Why they should spend 30 seconds replying to you. People don’t hire because you need a job. They hire because you can help their business. Really grateful to Faiz for such an insightful conversation. His understanding of the Dubai job market has helped thousands of people, and I’m excited to create more content together to share practical, honest advice that actually helps. If you’re planning to build your career in Dubai, follow along. There’s a lot more coming. #DubaiJobs #DubaiCareers #JobSearch #LinkedInTips #CareerAdvice DubaiHiring UAEJobs Recruitment HiringTips CareerGrowth JobSeekers Networking Founders LinkedInNetworking WorkInDubai
