Shout out to anyone who has helped a job seeker! You have likely changed someone’s life. Even if that means giving them advice, giving feedback on their resume, or simply listening to their story - you mattered in their journey. Job seeking is so challenging and can feel like a draining and lonely process. This is why it’s crucial to be uplifting and helpful towards job seekers. Even if you’re also job seeking, help other job seekers. We all have something to give to others. Recently, I reached back out to a woman who had done an informational interview for me 7 years prior. In that meeting, she told me about her career path and it helped me to further clarify my path. In our recent conversation, thanked her again and told her that the 30 min she spent with me meant a lot. She didn’t remember who I was. So you may not remember that person, but they will remember you. You are leaving such an amazing impact on the world.
