Being Out of Office might be one of the best things you can do for your career. ✈️🌴 And no, I don’t mean checking Slack from the pool. Taking actual time away from work isn’t lazy or a sign that you’re not ambitious. It’s part of sustaining high performance. When you’re constantly operating at capacity, you’re focused on survival: answering emails, putting out fires, finishing the next task, getting through the week. But when you’re rested? You have the mental space to think bigger. ✨ You make better decisions. ✨ You’re more creative and productive. ✨ You communicate more thoughtfully. ✨ You can see opportunities instead of just your to-do list. ✨ You have the capacity to be strategic about your career instead of simply keeping up with it. Burnout doesn’t make you more promotable. Being permanently available doesn’t make you more valuable. Sometimes career progression requires doing LESS so you have the capacity to think about what you should be doing NEXT. So take the PTO. Turn on the OOO. Put the laptop away. Your career will survive your vacation. And you might come back better at it. ✈️☕️ #CareerAdvice #WorkLifeBalance #CareerGrowth #CorporateLife #Burnout PTO CareerCoach
