My dad is always right lol #career #quityourjob
Transcript
When I was like 20, my dad told me that all successful people at work make sure every decision they make is not just them running from something, it's them running to something because the people who only make decisions running from something, like running from a bad boss or bad company, whatever, end up often in the exact same situation because they were so busy focused on getting out that they didn't think about what they were about to get into. But the successful people think about what they're running from and make sure they're also running to something that is equally valuable or a backup plan. Um, that is valuable. And to be honest, that was the reason I didn't quit one job I fucking hated just to go to that company's direct competitor that I would have ended up fucking hating.

Transplant note
No US-specific content at all — no visa, salary band or employer reference — so the shape moves intact. The audience assumption does not: it speaks to someone already in a corporate job weighing a competitor offer, while Ark's reader is in a survival job with no corporate offer to run toward. Transplant as 'running from your survival job isn't a plan — running to a named sub-role is', which also lets you fold in the subdivision-teaching pattern the original lacks.
Brand fit note
Opens cold with a story, uses direct second person, and the running-from/running-to split is close to a contrarian inversion. But it is borrowed wisdom, not a mechanism — it never says what 'running to something' concretely looks like, and there is not a single number anywhere, failing the 'is there at least one number' check. A generic career coach could publish these sentences unchanged, which the doc says to cut. The profanity is fine for an on-camera reel register. Usable only if rebuilt with a named target sub-role, a dollar band, and the survival-job framing.
