When you answer a question, make sure your answer gives the interviewer these 3 things: 1. SPECIFICITY — What exactly did YOU do? ❌ “I worked with stakeholders to resolve the issue.” ✅ “I brought Operations, IT and the vendor into a 30-minute decision session, mapped the two blockers and assigned an owner and deadline to each.” Specificity makes your experience believable. 2. JUDGMENT — Why did you choose that approach? Don’t just tell me what you did. Show me how you think. ❌ “I escalated the issue to leadership.” ✅ “I initially tried to resolve it within the project team, but once it threatened the launch date, I escalated with two options, their risks and my recommendation.” Now I can see your decision-making. 3. IMPACT — What changed because of you? ❌ “The project was successfully completed.” ✅ “We cleared the blocker within 48 hours, protected the launch date and avoided pushing testing into the following sprint.” That’s the difference between a technically correct answer and a memorable one. Before your next interview, take your 5 strongest stories and ask: What exactly did I do? Why did I choose that approach? What changed because of it? If your answer doesn’t make those three things obvious, it probably still sounds like everyone else’s. Comment INTERVIEW if you want help turning your experience into answers that actually differentiate you. #careeradvice #jobinterview #interviewtipsandtricks
