Rizzing the hiring manager during an interview is my specialty but this job market is different. #interviews #jobinterview #hiringmanager
Transcript
I just saw someone say, the awesome chemistry between you and a hiring manager. To not get in that bleep job. Pipeline is so wild. And, y'all, I flew Delta to TikTok just to come and say, I cannot agree more. How many times are we in interviews? Virtual interviews, in person interviews, it really doesn't matter. And you're hitting it off. There's banter. You found commonality with this person. You've researched them. You know what school they go to, you know where. Where they work, and, like, you're just like, I have them eating out the palm of my hand. We go to shake hands, we. You know, we exchange pleasantries and all the things, and ultimately, what happens? You get that email saying, unfortunately, regrettably. And you're just like, what? What happened? What happened? Who else rizzed you up in this way? The same way or better than I did? Because technically, I know I had it, because, like, duh. Who rizzed you up more than I? I can't. I. I

Narrative structure
quote someone else's take -> agree loudly -> replay the shared scenario -> land on the rejection email

Transplant note
The core structure carries perfectly: name the belief (great rapport = offer), then show the rejection email that follows. The scenario details (virtual or in-person interview, researching the interviewer, banter, handshake) are market-neutral and land the same for an internationally-trained professional in Melbourne. What must change: the US slang scaffolding ('rizz', 'flew Delta to TikTok', 'eating out the palm of my hand') carries no meaning for the audience, and the piece stops at commiseration with no explanation. For AU you would replace the punchline with the actual mechanism — interviews are scored against a rubric and a shortlist, not likeability.
Brand fit note
The opening is a legitimate contrarian inversion, which the voice doc calls the highest-performing pattern, and it opens cold with a claim. But it fails the 'Is there a real mechanism, or just encouragement?' check — it names the belief and never breaks it with a mechanism, it just vents. It also fails 'Is there at least one number?' (zero numbers anywhere; no cost accounting). Rebuild as: rapport is not a hiring signal -> here is what the panel actually scores -> the number of candidates on a typical shortlist. Register (bleeped profanity, on-camera rant) is acceptable per the reels row of the channel table.
