Applying to jobs and hearing absolutely NOTHING back? 🙄 Maybe it’s time to change your strategy instead of sending another 100 applications! Here are 10 job search tips I recommend trying! 👇 No. 1 — Check your résumé formatting. Paste it into Notepad. If the text is scrambled, your formatting may cause problems for some hiring systems. Keep it simple! No. 2 — Apply EARLY! Prioritize jobs posted within 24–72 hours, but don’t ignore older listings that are still open. No. 3 — Look beyond LinkedIn and Indeed. Check company career pages! I recommend CareerHound.io for direct-from-company listings, including a 24-hour filter. It’s paid, but offers a FREE preview. No. 4 — Investigate anonymous listings. Copy a unique sentence from the job description and Google it in quotation marks. You might find the original posting! No. 5 — Ditch generic cover letters. Keep them short! Match your experience to the employer’s needs and include a real accomplishment. No. 6 — Stop bluffing in interviews. Don’t know an answer? Say, “I’d be happy to look into that.” Then FOLLOW THROUGH! No. 7 — Ask THIS interview question. “Is there anything about my background or experience that gives you hesitation?” It gives you a chance to address concerns! No. 8 — Skip the corporate jargon. Explain your experience clearly. Employers should understand what you do and why it matters! No. 9 — Track your applications. Record where you found each job. After a few weeks, see which sources are actually producing interviews. No. 10 — FOLLOW UP! Send a short thank-you email within 24 hours of your interview. Mention something specific from your conversation. HERE’S THE BOTTOM LINE: You can have experience, qualifications, and a great résumé and STILL struggle to land interviews. Sometimes changing your approach makes all the difference! 🔖 SAVE this for your next job application! 👇 Which tip are you trying first? #wfh #resume #jobsearch #remotework #jobboard
