Using AI to script your interview answers makes you sound fake and interviewers won’t trust you. For example, one of my clients used AI to draft her answer to, “Why did you leave your last role?” The answer she got: “I decided to move from independent work into a team environment so I can build deeper lifecycle marketing expertise and learn from a strong mission driven leadership team.” This is the way AI is telling us to speak so we sound professional, but it doesn’t sound human. If you do not sound like you are already their co worker, they will have trouble picturing you as their co worker, and they won’t give you the job offer. So what would be better to say is something like: “After freelancing for X years, I miss being on a team.” Notice how it sounds more direct, more sincere, and more how you would normally talk to a co worker. So if you’re using AI to help you draft your interview answers, get rid of all of that bungle, all the jargon, all that nonsense. Just cut to the core. Be concise, talk like a person. And don’t read your interview answers like scripts! PS - I put together a free workshop called Unshakable Interviews Masterclass so you can identify what are your offer blockers and stop coming in second place in interviews. I’ll link it in my bio!
