don’t start 2027 in the same old job #resume #career #linkedin #jobsearch
Transcript
Here is how you're going to get a job before the end of the year in 60 seconds. Number one, build your resume to beat the ATS. This means use an ATS safe resume layout like this or this or this and make sure you do lots of key wording like adding professional title, key skills, keyword in your bullet points too. Number two, cover letters. Shut up, they matter again. Don't use an AI cover letter. You will be blacklisted. Instead, use this opening, elaborate on your four best bullet points here, keyword here, and close out like this. Number three, LinkedIn. Make sure your LinkedIn profile is absolutely perfect. Here's a checklist you can follow to make sure it's going to attract recruiters and impress them. Number four, interviews. There are two things your competitors are doing to steal jobs from you during interviews. Number one, they're predicting the questions by writing the responsibilities, taking out the key skills from those, turning those into questions with the tell us about a time method and prepping their answers. And two, they're practicing their answers out loud.

Transplant note
Already an Australian account and nothing is country-locked. The ATS-layout, cover-letter-template, LinkedIn-checklist, interview-question-prediction stack transfers straight over. To be Ark's, it needs the internationally-trained layer: Australian resume conventions versus overseas CV formats (no photo, no DOB, no marital status), and how a local recruiter reads an overseas employer name. The 'you will be blacklisted' claim about AI cover letters is unverified and would need dropping.
Brand fit note
Structure is strong and very Ark-compatible: cold open, no preamble, stacked declarative steps, real mechanisms (pull responsibilities -> extract skills -> convert to 'tell us about a time' questions). But it fails three checks. No numbers anywhere — the voice requires cost accounting ('$70k-$160k', '70+ placed'), and '60 seconds' is a format gimmick, not a figure. 'You will be blacklisted' for AI cover letters is an unverified claim and ships as fact. And most sentences here ('make sure your LinkedIn profile is absolutely perfect') could be written unchanged by any generic career coach — the voice doc says cut those. Rebuild with subdivision teaching (which kind of resume for which sub-role) and real Australian numbers.
