There’s a lot of job search advice out there but before you worry about your resume, LinkedIn or interview prep, get clear on the foundation first. Look at 3–5 current job postings for the types of roles you want and identify what employers are consistently looking for. For each one, ask yourself: Can I prove I have this? What specific example or result or proves it? And where are my actual gaps? This is especially important for professionals over 40. Having 15 or 20+ years of experience isn’t enough if employers can’t clearly see the experience that’s relevant to what they need RIGHT NOW. Once you’ve done this exercise, you’ll know what to emphasize on your resume or CV and LinkedIn, what examples to prepare for interviews, and which gaps you may need to address.
