1. Find your passion first, then choose a career. Sometimes passion comes *after* you get good at something and actually experience it. 2. You need to know exactly what you want to do. Your first job doesn’t have to be your forever career. Start somewhere and learn what you like. 3. Follow your passion, money will follow. Passion matters, but so do skills, demand, stability and financial goals. 4. Don’t take a job you’re overqualified for. Sometimes getting your foot in the door is more valuable than waiting for the perfect title. 5. Never leave a job without another one lined up. Good advice for stability, but sometimes leaving a bad environment is worth more than staying comfortable. 6. Your degree determines your career. Your degree is a starting point. Your skills, experience and network can take you somewhere completely different. 7. Work hard and people will notice. Work hard and communicate your impact. Being good at your job is only half the equation. 8. Say yes to every opportunity. Not every opportunity is worth your time. Learn to recognize what actually moves you forward. 9. You’re too young to negotiate. If you bring value, you can advocate for yourself - regardless of age. 10. Your career should always move upward. Sometimes a lateral move, career switch or temporary step back puts you on a much better path.
