1. Instead of letting what subjects you are “good” at dictate what you want to do, reflect on what you loved doing as a kid. I did the latter and now am employed as the former. Chances are there’s a job out there that aligns! 2. Stop thinking that you screwed up by choosing the wrong degree. Learn valuable skills and make them public, start posting on LinkedIn even if nobody else is & it feels icky - let me know if you want tips on how to get started! 3. Focus more on making connections than your grades or perfecting your resume. Who you know matters. Don’t just ask- make sure you offer value to them first. 4. Never stop learning. Just because you graduated doesn’t mean you shouldn’t keep up learning new skills. I got asked in an interview once, “what are you reading or learning outside of work to help your professional development?” I’m not a huge reader so I prefer to learn high value skills via personalized podcasts on Oboe. 5. Stop word vomiting. You don’t have to fill every moment of silence in a meeting. Learning how to be succinct and articulate allows you to be perceived as more senior #tech #techcareers #careeradvice #productmanager #career
