Transcript
This is your sign to start doing stuff before and after work. Yes, you're going to feel tired, but you need to do it anyway. We work tired, we cook tired, we clean tired. You deserve to do things to experience joy even if you're tired. And what happens is you do it now and build the capacity later. Live multiple days in one. Segment your day. Before work is day one, during work is day two, after work is day three. You take time to refresh and restart your day in between and remember, work only gets one of those days. You also need to add some design friction to your life. When you're not working, make it incredibly hard for work to reach you or for you to get sucked back into work. Delete Slack and Teams off your personal phone. Better yet, put your phone away. So they literally cannot reach you when you're not on the clock and they're not paying you. You need to prioritize your joy and your experience of your life as much as you prioritize your inbox. Because this is the life that we have and work does not care if you have a full and meaningful existence.

Transplant note
The container transplants — 'this is your sign' hook, three crisply named mechanics (do it tired, segment the day into three, design friction), then a closing line that lands the stakes. The substance does not: 'delete Slack and Teams off your personal phone' is burnout/lifestyle content with zero Australian specificity, and Ark's reader is working a survival job at a hotel front desk, not being pinged by Teams after hours. To transplant you would keep only the three-part named-mechanic skeleton and replace the entire subject with something like three blocks of job-search work around a survival-job roster.
Brand fit note
Subject fails the relevance test twice: it is lifestyle/burnout content, and it is 'generic career advice with no Australian specificity' — a US coach published these exact words unchanged, which is the stated disqualifier. It also fails the pre-ship checks: no number anywhere, no mechanism that moves anyone from survival job to corporate role, and the contempt points at 'work' as a vague abstraction rather than at a named system like university career services or the free-advice industry. Lines like 'you deserve to do things to experience joy' and 'prioritize your joy' would survive being said by a LinkedIn career coach, which the voice doc says to cut on sight.
