It broadcasts from the tower as a system notification. It cannot land in your inbox. 3️⃣ There is nothing to sign up for. No app, no opt-in, no registration. Any message asking you to register is fake. 4️⃣ It does not know who you are. AusAlert stores no phone number and no location. So it can never ask for your details. 5️⃣ Same rule guards your student VISA. Home Affairs will never ask for extra payment to process a visa. The Minister warned about this scam in December 2025. 6️⃣ One check ends it. Open ImmiAccount. If it is not in there, it did not happen. Today was the safe part.
