87% of companies use AI in their hiring process to screen applications, so getting the top ATS score has never been more critical! These are the differences between a strong ATS resume and a weak ATS resume: Word count: Keywords matter and if your resume doesn’t have 600-1000 words, it’s very unlikely you’re hitting the keyword requirements Years of experience: ATS is reviewing for years of experience so state that explicitly in your professional summary Key skills: Rip job functions, hard skills, technology, and industry terminology straight from your target job and shove it in your resume (in a skills section and your bullets) Layout: Make sure you have a strong ATS-approved resume template (see link in comments for access to my Free ATS-resume template) Education: An ATS will kick you out immediately if you don’t meet the education requirements, so when you list your education, make sure it includes the full credential name, area of study, and school Numbers and accomplishments: Late-stage ATS reviews involve assessing candidate quality (not just fit), and they are reviewing to see how well you performed your jobs, so make sure you talk about that too! #resume #jobsearch #career #resumetips
