#stitch with @jayshettypodcast The skills that get you into management aren’t the same skills that get you out of it. Early in your career, you’re rewarded for being the smartest person in the room: ✔️ Technical expertise ✔️ Delivering high-quality work ✔️ Solving problems ✔️ Being reliable Those skills are enough to get you to manager. But once you’re there, the game changes. The people who keep rising aren’t just the most capable. They’re the ones who can: → Influence without authority → Communicate a vision that gets people on board → Build trust with executives → Navigate difficult conversations → Lead through ambiguity → Develop other people At higher levels, your value isn’t measured by what you accomplish. It’s measured by what you can accomplish through other people. Capability opens the first door. Communication and leadership open every door after that. If you’re aiming for senior leadership, stop focusing only on becoming a better individual contributor. Start becoming someone people want to follow. 👇 Comment COMMUNICATION and I’ll send you my free guide on the communication skills that accelerate your career. #careeradvice #careercoach #leadership
