Answering this one question wrong in a job interview will get you automatically disqualified. It’s the question, “Where do you see yourself in five years?” But what are they really asking? The real question is, “Does this role line up with what you want in your career?” Companies don’t want to hire you, train you, and then you leave for the job you actually wanted. So avoid answers that make it seem like you don’t want this job. Such as, ❌”I’d like to land this project management role, work closely with the product team, and then transition into becoming a Product Manager.” ❌ Avoid coming across as a flight risk! How do you answer this question?
