Let’s be honest: the modern hiring process is broken. Companies set the bar so high that they aren't looking for real people anymore—they are looking for a flawless checklist. If you have a gap on your resume, or if you’ve pivoted roles to find your fit, a rigid system will instantly label you as unqualified. But a piece of paper cannot measure your actual potential or your grit. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ After running thousands of coaching sessions, my advice is simple: If the corporate world forces you to play an unfair game, play to win. If you know you can do the job, you have to find a way past the gatekeepers. So yes, tweak the narrative on your CV if you have to. Qualification on paper is rarely the same as your true value as a person. Just do it smartly, back it up with hard work, and never feel guilty for opening your own doors. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ If you’re going to reshape your story, do it right: ✅ Only promise what you can deliver. If you enhance a skill on paper, make sure you can actually execute it on day one. ✅ Frame, don't fake. Don’t invent fake companies. Instead, highlight the exact experiences from your past that match the job you want next. ✅ Rebrand the gaps. Instead of leaving a blank space that triggers auto-rejections, frame that time as freelance work or independent consulting. ✅ Own your story. If you adjusted your CV to get the interview, know that narrative inside and out. Confidence is what closes the deal. #JobSearch #Hiring #Resume #JobInterview #Corporate#JobInterviewTips
