Let’s normalize not working EVERY moment of our lives. People should step away from work to: 🍊Focus on their family 🍊Heal 🍊Relax 🍊Catch up on everything they’ve neglected 🍊Cross things off their bucket list 🍊Learn 🍊Give back 🍊Find the RIGHT next move 🍊Breathe But yet it’s seen as a BAD thing to some hiring managers? If you are judging someone because they aren’t working constantly for decades, you need to reexamine what actually matters. Mentalities about resume gaps need to change. And I think they are, slowly. 🍊Gaps should be EXPECTED, and in some cases, CELEBRATED! 🍊(Though I understand it’s difficult to craft your career narrative when you have gaps, so I’ll link a free class on Job Shopping strategies in my bio to help you with that) Have you ever had a gap in your career? What did that time mean to you?
